57.6 Tons of Subang Coffee Reach the Chinese Market, PT KBI Demonstrates How Its Warehouse Receipt System Helps Boost

Subang, July 28, 2025 – PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (“PT KBI”), as the sole Warehouse Receipt Registration Center in Indonesia, welcomes the success of the Gunung Luhur Berkah Producers Cooperative (KPGLB) as a Warehouse Management partner in promoting local coffee exports. The release of 57.6 tons of robusta coffee to China today from the Subang Warehouse Receipt (“RG”) Warehouse is concrete evidence of the utilization of the Warehouse Receipt System (“SRG”) as a strategic instrument for accessing financing, ensuring quality, and increasing export competitiveness.

The presence of Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, Subang Regent Reynaldy Putra Andita, Head of Bappebti Tirta Karma Senjaya, Director of Business Development and Operations of PT KBI Saidu Solihin, and Chairman of KPGLB Miftahudin Shaf at this event affirmed the multi-stakeholder synergy in strengthening Indonesia's commodity trading ecosystem.

KPGLB recorded a significant increase in export volume thanks to the optimization of the SRG. From a mere dozen containers per year, KPGLB is now capable of exporting dozens of containers per month. This achievement is supported by data from PT KBI's RG issuance, which saw a 211% jump in transaction value in 2024, with an increase in certified commodity weight of more than 10,000 tons. This demonstrates that the WRS is not simply a storage solution, but rather the backbone of transforming Indonesia's export competitiveness.

"The WRS is Indonesia's strategic response to the global market's need for reliable trading partners. This system guarantees quality, quantity, and continuity of supply—key factors driving our trade surplus. Today's coffee exports demonstrate the WRS's ability to expand the global market for local commodities, while also reflecting Indonesia's non-oil and gas export growth of 9.68% (year-on-year) by May 2025." Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, stated.

The Head of Bappebti, Tirta Karma Senjaya, also stated that the optimization of the WRS in Subang should become a national model. Indonesian SRG transactions grew by an average of 112% annually (2020-2024), reaching IDR 583.84 billion by July 2025. Collaboration with PT KBI as the Registration Center strengthens the system's integrity, from commodity quality testing to the issuance of receipts recognized by financing institutions.

KPGLB has made SRG the backbone of export cooperation with markets in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Vietnam, and China. SRG's competitive advantage lies in measurable quantities and supply continuity that meet global demand standards, pre-storage quality testing that certifies commodities as a "guarantee of trust" for importers, and access to financing from seven affiliated institutions, including PT Kliring Perdagangan Berjangka Indonesia ("PT KPBI"), a subsidiary of PT KBI.
